Our approach

Our approach

Our approach

Our residents thrive in Mission Gate's structure of accountability and zero tolerance.

Our  residents build productive new lives through a whole-person approach. We provide structure, accountability, and zero tolerance to equip them to replace former habits with positive lifestyles.

What we do

Our approach

Our approach

Mission Gate provides safe, Christ-centered housing with separate facilities for men and women.

Mission Gate provides safe, affordable, Christ-centered housing with separate facilities for men, women, and women with their children. Our residents come from life-challenging situations, including prison, jail, treatment centers or other unhealthy lifestyles. When they arrive here, they’re ready to allow God to change their lives.

Our goals

Our approach

Plus: Mission Gate also works in prisons and jails

Mission Gate's 3 goals are Regeneration, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration.

Regeneration: Leading those in prison or bound by addiction to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, as they submit their lives to Him

Rehabilitation: Providing a nine-month or longer therapeutic residential program that frees people from their past

Reintegration: Equipping residents with confidence and skills necessary to live independent, Christ-like lives

Plus: Mission Gate also works in prisons and jails

Plus: Mission Gate also works in prisons and jails

Over 100 Mission Gate volunteers work with inmates in prisons and jails throughout Missouri.

Over 100 volunteers work with inmates in prisons and jails throughout Missouri. Because of these dedicated volunteers, prisoners can participate in a variety of Mission-Gate-sponsored activities, including:

  • Bible studies
  • Worship services
  • Re-entry seminars
  • One-on-one counseling
  • Life Skills classes
  • Education and work-skills training

Learn More: Programs for men and women

Both men's and women's programs at Mission Gate are personalized for each resident.

Mission Gate has both men and women residents, who live in separate facilities. For more specifics, see:

  • Men's programs
  • Women's programs

Plus: Residents work in communities

Our residents join in nearby communities, holding jobs, volunteering, and attending church.

Our residents become members of our surrounding communities, holding jobs, volunteering for projects, and worshiping at nearby churches. Men and women find plenty of opportunities to fulfill community work-service requirements in nearby towns, as well as on Mission Gate grounds.
