Our Goal:

“To Lead Prisoners to the Lord and Disciple them to Lead Prisoners to the Lord!”

In both Missouri and Southern Illinois, Mission Gate Ministry has volunteers who faithfully minister the Word of God under the leadership of Mission Gate but under the authority of their church. Mission Gate is an evangelical and conservative religious organization that is filling the gap left by untrained church members. Its goal is to equip these members for this unique ministry and consequently be an asset to their respective churches.

Volunteers attend one of the 100 monthly opportunities. Over 2,000 prisoners are led to the Lord each year. That is the equivalent of one whole prison confessing Christ! Go where God is and join us as the captives are set free at the Mission Gate.

Join this Exciting Ministry!

Attend a volunteer meeting any Monday night 7–9pm at Central Presbyterian Christian School two light north of Hwy 40 on North Hanley Road or call 636-391-8560 for further information. You will never know what it’s like unless you volunteer for an in-prison worship service and see for yourself!

Volunteers undergo a continuous training process that includes learning prison rules and ministering across denominational lines. They complement Mission Gate’s ministry of preaching Jesus Christ’s death, resurrection, and coming again in glory. Mission Gate avoids denominational differences and distinctives that lend toward disunity and dissention.
